Never enough time!

Well I never got round to the daylight picture for my last post!!!

I have been busy with work, the kids and making cards again so the blog suffers and although I would like to be able to do this more I can only do what I can in the time I have.

So a few cards have been made again!  I seem to get about 4 a weekend to do and as mostly A4 and busy kids with social lives I made my mums birthday card yesterday and her birthday is today!  Just been to Hobbycraft for supplies for pressies and for me!  Also finally got some Flitter Glu from Indigo Blu.  It's awesome!

So this is the smallest card I've made in years!  It was the left over paper from making a larger card, the Auntie tag and butterfly are by Hunkydory from Create & Craft.  The flower die is a Bigz die by Tim Holtz Tattered Florals.  The background paper is a vintage set I picked up from Hobbycraft a few years ago and I think the pink paper is from Tim Holtz again.

Took this pic to show the dimension on the card!

The full front of the card.  It was teeny compared to my usual makes yet it had the biggest flower!

Sent to my other half's Auntie who told his dad she loved it!  That's what counts even though it was scraps it was still made with love!

Steampunk Trio...

I love these stamps from Kanban, such a shame they didn't survive in the crafting world.

I used my spectrum noir's again and the paper is just from my stash that I found at my local craft shop Carshalton Craft.

The Happy Birthday stamp is by Kirsty Wiseman and the tag is spellbinders.

The ribbon is from QVC and again local craft shop.

Lets see if I can keep up the daily posts!

New Year, new crafty stuff...

Happy New Year to all that follow my blog posts, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas.

I got what I wanted for Christmas as I ordered it!  Men!
After using pro markers for a few years and seeing how the spectrum noir pens work I decided to make the switch.  I bought half and got the rest as pressie's! The colours are so vibrant and easy to blend, although I think I need some super smooth paper as mine started to fluff a little when doing the blue as there was so much ink!

My new year's resolution is to make a male card every time I make a female card as every time I need one I never have one ready made!

Decorated using free papers and embellishments from a magazine, some scrap embossed and leaf patterned papers, ribbon and buttons on sale now at Hobbycraft as Christmas buttons!  All edged with lake mist adirondak ink pad.

I used the media mixage papers from spellbinders for the topper, the other paper is brown handmade paper and WRMK 6x6 paper pad. The ribbon is from a qvc pack.  The candles & happy birthday are from a stampin up set and the tag is from a gorjuss set. The rosette is a Tim Holtz die. All edges are inked with Blue denim distress ink.
Here are my 1st attempts using my spectrum noir pens with the full set trying out different skin tones.  The paper is a bit fluffy for colouring but it will do while I'm practicing blending the inks!

The full 168 set. Happy me!

My main pressie was an ebosser, I was making so many A4 cards or quantities of cards last year I wanted an A4 platform machine, so I got it!  I have only managed to play with it once but it cut out my Sizzix dies beautifully!

Till next time

Never enough time in a day!

So busy making cards again that I forget to post!

Made a few more baby & kids cards recently and all but one have been received so here are those few...

I think this is one of my favorite cards that I have ever made, it's up there with Evie's (my daughter's) 7th birthday card! Made for a guy at work celebrating the birth of his daughter. A4 again.

A close up of the topper which could have just been a normal sized card by itself!

I was asked to make these for a twins 1st birthday!  These were just normal sized cards for a change!

and the last two are a maternity leave card and congratulations card for the same polish lady, hence the language!

Only 2 more A4 birthday cards to just add a finishing touch too and 1 more to make tomorrow night then I can finally start making some christmas cards! Every year I vow to start in January and here we are again, no cards and no time!!!

A quick post...

before bed.  It's been a long day!!!

A cute baby card to celebrate. A4 again.  Using the silhouette and just a few sheets of paper, some card candi and stickers!

Will add more notes on what was used tomorrow when I have more time!

Tiered Cake Card...

I am determined to keep updating my blog till I've caught up with all the cards I've made.  This time, it's one from August!!!

Another A4 card, for a special lady...

The papers I used were K&Co Scrap Pad To Go ~ Chocolate Neopolitan collection and 2 sheets of gold mirri board. Plus one sheet of white card stock for the cake print out.
The cake is printed from the Block Party Portfolio from Quickutz from my silhouette software.  I added the candles onto the image and added 5 more separately on the page as I wanted to cut them all out including the cake.  I coloured all of the cake and candles with promarkers and used gilding flakes on the cake stand.  Then cut it all out and layered it so the candles were decoupaged.

I used the stately circles from Spellbinders for the rosette using all the same card as before and the ribbon's and button are from my stash. The hat pins are from Create & Craft and the gems from my local craft shop, I think they were papermania brand.

I wanted to do something a bit different and hadn't really used the images for printing, just cutting.  I should use the silhouette and the software more.  All the layers were stuck with foam pads and the ribbon and hat pins with a glue gun.

Well after a kids party turned into an all day outing it's definitely time for bed at 9.30pm! This weekend I have made 4 more A4 cards as well so they will all be up here once received.
